According to legend, the Langtang valley was found by a Lama following runway Yak, hence the name “Lang” is Yak and “Tang” means to follow in the Tibetan Language. Langtang is a close valley, which lies just south of Tibet boundary, in amidst main Himalayan range and a slightly lower range of snow cold peaks from north to south. People of Tibetan origin, who follow Buddhism, resides in this high and remote region. A visit to Langtang valleys grants an opportunity to explore village and monasteries as well as to visit glaciers at the head of the valley. You can also witness the glimpses of Mt. Langtang, Mt. Dorjelakpsa (6990m.), Mt. Lirung (7245m.), Mt. Ganesh (7406m.), and Chinese mountains.

Langtang region, which lies towards the north of Kathmandu valley is the nearest trekking region from Kathmandu. Langtang region trekking provides a good combination of the natural and the cultural beauty to the trekkers. In the Langtang region, there are many other trekking destinations like Gosainkunda, Helambu valley, Tamang villages, etc. Langtang valley which is also known as the valley of the glacier is a spectacular valley surrounded by the snow-clad mountains culminating in Langtang Lirung.

Langtang is an easy trekking route for trekkers. It is very famous all over the world. We can observe awesome landscaped. Langtang trekking sights are-Langtang Himal (6581m), Langtang Ri (7246m), Lakpa Dorje Kimsung (6745m), Ganesh Himal I (7406m), Ganesh Himal II (7150m), Ganesh Himal III (7130m), Yala Peak (5560m) Ganjal Chuli (5855m), Langshisa-Ri (6310m) and many more peaks.

Itinenary
Day 1

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and transfer hotel

Day 2

Early in the Morning Mountain flight and full day Kathmandu sightseeing (Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, etc.)

Day 3

Drive to Dunche and Shyabru besi (1450m), - 6 hours approx.

Day 4

Trek from Shyabru besi to Lama Hotel (2480m), - 5 hours approx.

Day 5

Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541m.), - 5 hours approx.

Day 6

Trek from Langtang village to Kyangjing Gompa (3800m.), - 2.5 hours

Day 7

Kyangjing Gompa - day hiking

Day 8

Trek to Lama Hotel from Kyangjing Gompa - 4 hours approx.

Day 9

Trek from Lama Hotel to Shyabru village - Dunche - 6 hours approx.

Day 10

Drive to Kathmandu from Dunche - 6 hours approx.

Day 11

Free day at Kathmandu and evening dinner with some cultural program
