Kyanjin Gompa Trek is common and easy trekking in the Langtang region at the altitude of 3870m. Trekking in Langtang valley is one of the easiest trekking trails and also the nearest trekking area from Kathmandu. Kyanjin Gompa is a monastery in a Kyanjin village from where the extraordinary scenes of gigantic mountains and peaks look very majestic. Exploring the surrounding of Gompa is enough for getting a spiritual insight about Tibetan Buddhism.

Kyanjin Gompa through Langtang Valley trek provides the wonderful opportunity of exploring various flora and fauna in this region. Langtang National park is the home for several rare wild animals and birds including the Himali Black Bear, Red Panda, Langur Monkey, Wild Boar, etc. can be seen in the forest. Langtang valley trek is rich in Tamang culture. While following the trail to Langtang Valley, one can enjoy the beauty of the forest of rhododendron, pine, bamboo and juniper trees, and other medical herbs too. The flow of streams and cliffs of rocks amuses for those who love nature and it’s magic. The gigantic view of snow-capped mountains, grassy meadows, and valleys with the blossoms soothe your tiredness and make refreshed as you walk along.

Kyanjin Gompa trekking trail provides a magnificent view of the landscape and chances of exploring the surrounding. After entering the valley, there are many places to explore. The main highlights of the trek are the Valley of Langtang, Langtang Lirung, villages of Tibetan and Tamang settlements, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Manaslu, Pemathang Ri, Langshisa Ri, Dorje Lakpa and Kangchenpo. The trek is moderate trek without any technical challenges.  The best time for Kyanjin Gompa Trek is from late Feb to May and from Sept to mid-Dec.

Drive and trek to Syabru Besi (2100m.) from Kathmandu /overnight at teahouse

Trek from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2400m.) / overnight at teahouse

Trek from Lama Hotel (2400m.) to Langtang Village (3300m.) / overnight at teahouse

Day 6

Trek from Langtang Village (3300m.) to Kyanjin Gompa (3700m.) / overnight at teahouse

Day 7

Exploration day / Hike to Langshisha Kharka / Climb up Tsergo Ri (5050m ) / Langsisa Yak Pasture/ Yala Cheese Factory (4633m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa

It was a well-organized trek. Blue Lake Travel and Tours did a good job at sorting out the activities and did their best. Thanks to them and the wonderful team I had ana amazing experience in Nepal.
