Jugal Himal Trek is through Langtang Valley to Jugal Himal towards the northeast of Kathmandu. Trekking in this region is full of different opportunities for exploring Tamang culture, rare wildlife, landscapes and impressive views of mountains and peaks. Trekkers frequently do not visit this area, therefore, the trail is not so busy though it is one of the nearest Himal from Kathmandu. Trekking in the Jugal Himal region is adventurous with the panoramic views of Dorje Lakpa, Madiya, Phurbi Chhyachu, Langtang Himal and Jugal Himal itself.

Jugal Himal trekking trail leads through Melamchi to Langtang Valley which is a unique experience of Tamang Heritage exploration. Visiting Panch Pokhari, Bhairav Kunda Lake and other natural springs are very pleasant experiences. Trekking in this region is not well facilitated due to the lack of hotels and lodges. Trekking begins after 5 hours drive from Kathmandu to Melamchi Pul. The trail is peaceful and tranquil but some camping trekkers can be found somewhere on the way. Jugal Himal is a wonderfully attractive trekking trail for the visitors who want to get a chance of experiencing peace from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city life. The views of forests, green valleys and meadows, orchids of apples and crystal clear waterfalls and rivers are so impressive during the trek you can experience!

Trekking in Jugal Himal is camping based trekking because only the Helambu area has facilitated hotels and lodges. Homestay can be one of the best options to experience Tamang culture who are the descendants of Tibetan Horse traders. Trekking in this region gives a real taste of organic products like Helambu apple, Bhotang’s potatoes, fresh Yak milk products, and homemade wine/beer. The hospitality of Tamang, Sherpa and other ethnic communities is world-famous you can experience during the trek.

I rarely leave reviews but I felt compelled because Blue Lake Nepal did a fantastic job taking care of our group in our journey to Jugal Himal Trek.

Lakpa was our guide and he was beyond helpful and attentive to our needs. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with and made our trip much less stressful with his help and support.
