Holy Gosaikunda Trek is one of the popular trekking destinations in Nepal. The valley Langtang is also described for being the most beautiful valley by the trekkers and mountaineers. This trekking region is famous for picturesque and distinctive peaks including Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa. Langtang lies to the north from Kathmandu and has several Tamang villages, small peaks for the climb. The most trekking trail of this route is covered with moss shielded on the ground and lush fern in the tree trunks.

Gosainkunda at the elevation of 4380 meters is another undeniable outstanding trekking destination. It is encircled by Himalaya Lakes. The lake is sacred and important for both Hindu and Buddhist religions. Many priests from both the religion visit this place throughout the year. Not to forget, Gosainkunda Lake carries a famous myth related to Lord Shiva.

This journey offers a sparkling view of nearby ponds during the sunrise. The places like Kutumsang and TharePati have their artistic landscape and culture to keep appealing the visitor.

The trekking trail to Holy Gosainkunda passes through the Langtang National Park. The National park is home to several floras and faunas. As this region is close to the Tibetan border, you can also get to know the influence of Tibetan culture in this region.

Do I need previous experience to commence this trek?

It’s great if you have any previous experience. Gosainkunda Holy trek also can be done without previous experience. One must obtain all the necessary information like highest elevation, safety measures for the acute mountain sickness and probability of getting altitude sickness, weather, temperature, etc.

Best time to trek to Gosainkunda Holy trek.

Most of the trekkers and travel agencies recommend spring and autumn season as the best time to trek. These months have a clear day and night and a stable temperature. The visibility during this time is great. It enables trekkers to get a clear view of beautiful mountains, hill, and surroundings.

In winter and summer, we can find mist and fogs surrounding the region. It decreases visibility. Besides, you don’t want to ruin your beautiful trek because of rain or some unconditional circumstance like a rise in the water level of rivers and streams. The trekking trails also get wets and slippery in these seasons.

Major highlights of the Goasinkunda holy trek:

  • Exploration of the unspoiled and beautiful Langtang Village
  • Explore the rich culture and traditions of the local
  • Observe and get to know the ancient Kyanjing Gompa
  • Visit and observe Gosainkunda Lake.
