The Gosaikunda lakes are regarded as holy by both Hindus and Buddhists. Many Hindus make the journey towards to take bath in the lakes during the August full moon festival of Janai Purnima. Langtang Gosaikunda Trek briefly provides an opportunity to experience Nepal’s unique combination of cultures, landscapes, stunning mountains, and diverse wildlife and vegetation, as well as natural diversity like lowland forests with wildlife to alpine meadows, spotless lakes, breathtaking mountain views and a unique lifestyle of the local people.

This trekking trail includes long, steep and descent climate, subalpine dense forest, awesome Himalayan views, glaciers, sacred Gosaikunda, Saraswatikunda & Ganeshkunda, delightful villages and flora, and fauna. Passing through the lush tropical forest, we will reach to the popular Gosaikunda Lake (4,380m) that is located among the high grey rocks.

The best period for Gosaikunda trekking begins from March to the end of May just before the monsoon but the trails are crowded as the weather conditions favored. The autumn season lies between September to December is the most popular travel time as the temperature is cooler and makes the mountainsides just vibrant green. Winter is about 10 degrees colder than autumn. Early December is believed to be as a good time for the trek. High passes are usually closed from late November to March due to snowy conditions. During the best season, the sky view is like crystal clear, gets a chance to endure more thrilling Himalayan views.

Itinenary
Day 1

Greetings at Kathmandu Airport

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet and warm Greetings. And then transfer to the hotel. Refreshment, lunch and managing backpack. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner where you will be served excellent actual Nepalese national food. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2

Preparation day at Kathmandu

After breakfast, you begin your sightseeing tour by visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Swayambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, Patan and Kathmandu Durbar Square within Kathmandu. An also you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the essential things for the trek. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Drive to Dhunche (1,960m)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Dhunche. The journey forwards through the road along the Trishuli River. On the way, experience the great view of rivers, forest, and terraced fields. Dhunche is headquartered of Rasuwa district and the starting point of the trek. Overnight at Dhunche.

Day 4

Trekking Dhunche to Singgomba (3,335 m)

After the breakfast, gradually ascend along with the bamboo, rhododendron, hemlock and oak forest, pass the village of Deurali and Dimsa and reach to Singgomba. Singgomba has a very famous Buddhist Monastery. Chandanbari village before reaching Shin Gompa has a cheese factory where fresh mountain cheese is made. The place also offers the panorama view of Langtang Himalayan ranges. Overnight at the tea house in Singgomba.

Day 5

Trekking Singgomba to Gosaikunda (4,380 m)

The trek begins by proceeding through the stupa of Sakyamuni which is further along the path and provides a spectacular view of the sparkling water of Saraswati Kunda through Bhairab Kunda, at which point the path ascends uphill to Gosaikunda (4380 m.). Overnight at guest house.

Day 6

Visit Gosaikunda Lake (3950m)

The trek starts to head for the holy lake of Gosaikunda. During the hike enjoying the beautiful view of mountains in the Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang Himal range on way. The lake has a rock in the middle of it which is believed to be God Shiva’s shrine. The dip in the lake is believed to wash away all sins. Roaming around to other lakes in the vicinity of Gosaikunda.

Day 7

Trek from Gosaikunda to Lauribinayek (4600 m)

The day starts with the beautiful sunrise and head for Lauribinayak. It’s a short uphill walk to Lauribinayek, provides a wonderful view of the mountains. Overnight at the tea house in Lauribinayak.

Day 8

Trekking from Lauribinayek to Thadepati (3600 m)

The trail now drops, steeply at first but becoming more gradual, to the southeast on a rocky trail. After climbing some ridges and Ghopte, where overhanging rocks form a cave that is used as a campsite by trekkers can see the lights of herders. From Ghopte, the path descends to more caves and begins a dense forest of pine and rhododendrons. After crossing a stream, the trail will make a final ascent to Thadepati (3490 m.). Overnight at Thadepati.

Day 9

Trek from Thadepati to Kutumsang (2471 m)

You have to trek descending all the way and can have a panoramic view of Mountains including Annapurna, Masalsu. If you are trekking in the spring season, you will see the forest covered with Rhododendrons. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10

Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2194 m)

From Kutumsang, in the early morning, we can see the sunrise over the snowcapped mountains. We would have breakfast served around 7:00 am. After breakfast, we begin our trek to Chisapani which takes about six hours. Chisapani is another viewpoint of sunrise and sunset. Besides, we would explore the tribal culture and mountain lifestyle. Overnight at Chisapani.

Day 11

Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu

Chisapani is one of the best places from where one can enjoy the superb views of Himalayas, wonderful, Hills & sunrise/sunset views can be seen. You will see the Tamang inhabitants and will follow the path across the Mulkharka and Shivapuri National Park. Then drive from Sundarijal to Kathmandu which takes approximately an hour. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12

Free day at Kathmandu

You can visit different places in Kathmandu. The Thamel area is most popular for tourists where you can find many different products to shop. You can do some shopping or also different other places like Kirtipur, Bhaktapur, Bungmati, etc. And in the evening, there will be a farewell dinner in Restaurant, overnight at Kathmandu in the hotel.

Day 13

Departure to Airport

After breakfast, you can either relax at the hotel or go shopping with your activities. After that, we escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu for your journey back.
