Helambu trek is a comparatively famous trekking destination. This trekking region is popular for exploring its natural beauty and cultural heritage. A trekker can observe a unique culture of the different ethnic groups residing in the region. Helambu 10 days trekking package also gives trekkers access to explore Shivapuri National park and Langtang National Park. The trekking destination is not far from the capital city, Kathmandu. The natural beauties of this region are mesmerizing and no harm is done. This tour brings you closer to the Sherpa and Hylomo people.
The trek is most suitable to those individuals or groups who have time constraints despite an eagerness to explore Nepal’s natural beauties. Helambu Trek is also comparatively less expensive than ABC trek, EBC trek, and such others. The ideal trek to Helambu lies in the mid-elevation region. Approximately, to the south of Langtang National Park, is mainly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. The region encompasses the rich cultural heritage of Lama and Tamang peoples. We can witness rich wooden carved windows, beautiful festivals and tradition relating to weaving in this region.
The trekking plan to Helambu manages proper acclimatization regard to altitude. The difficulty ranges from moderate to challenging while we trek or hike. This trek starts with a short drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. After that, we follow the trail of Shivapuri ridge that eventually guides us to Helambu. As the trekking continues, it passes major settlements like Tharepati, Melemacchi Gaon, Tarkegyang and such like. Tarkegyang is the prime attraction and highlighted village. We hike through beautiful rhododendron, and bamboo forest, striking waterfalls, rice terraces, several Buddhist monasteries along with majestic snowbladed Himalayas above high hills. Langtang Lirung 7227 meters, Dorje Lakpa 6966 meters, and Jugal Himal with the insight of Annapurna and Manaslu range is the visible gigantic peaks of this trek.
The highest elevation of this trek is 3650 meters at Tharepati. Considering this elevation, anyone having stable, good health and physical fitness can attempt this trek. Nevertheless, a prior preparation, a few weeks before the trek like jogging, and other light exercises become fruitful to the trekkers.
Without a doubt, the first autumn and spring is the best time to trek the Helambu region. The days and nights during this season are clear and warm. The climate and temperature as well get stable during this month of the season. Summer and winter season are also attainable. However, the trekking trails get wet and moist. Fog and mist cover surrounding. Thus, it obstructs clarity.

We just completed the Langtang, Gosainkunda, Helambu trek. It was our first trip to Nepal and we had an absolutely amazing experience.
Our guide Lakpa was fantastic and he did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and felt safe in the mountains.
One of the highlights of our trip was reaching the summit of Tserko Ri which Lakpa planned in detail to ensure we would complete with success!
I would highly recommend Blue Lake Travel and Tours as they looked after us extremely well from the moment we arrived in Kathmandu to our departure.
