Rolwaling Valley region, famously known as “the Grave” lies in the Middle East of the Langtang and Everest range and in front of this valley, Gauri Shankar (7145) mountain is providing significant presence. The Rolwaling Valley Trekking trail takes you through the Rolwaling River with stunning views of the sunrise over Gauri Shankar. The trekking route provides you an opportunity to explore the Yalung La region where a spectacular glacial lake named Tsho-Rolpa is encountered.

The trekking route takes you to the altitude of 5200m and offers an excellent view of the mountains, such as Makalu, Everest, Rolwaling, Pachermo, and Ramdung. The trek provides an excellent opportunity for short climbs like Go peak (5,930 m), Tashi Lapcha pass (5,755 m), and Yalung Pass (5,310 m). You will explore many hidden valleys, glacial lakes, waterfalls, rivers, Himalayas ranges, variety of animals and plants. Trekking over the suspension bridge of deep gorges makes this journey even more enchanting.

The exciting and thrilling trekking route provides you an opportunity to experience traditional Tibetan culture giving you a glimpse of local lifestyles. Autumn (Sept-Dec) and spring (March-May) are favorable trekking season for this route. The weather is clear and the temperature is moderate both at days and nights.

 Is Prior experience required to Rolwaling Valley Trek?

Trekking in Nepal for challenging route Rolwaling Trek does not require past experience. We always are careful during trekking in the Himalayas because of challenging altitude, unexpected climate change, and rocky routes. When you are traveling above 2,500 m, altitude sickness would be the problem so proper rest time to sustain your body strength is recommended.  The adventurous route is challenging and thrilling so our team is highly concerned about your safety and protection.

Itinenary
Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,360 m):

One of our office staffs will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to our luxury Hotel to stay overnight there. We will have brief discussion about glorious trekking itinerary.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and prepare legal permits:

You can visit different historical and religious places and some World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley and you must prepare your documents for trekking routes permits.

Day 3

Drive to Dolakha-Shigati (1,850 m):

We will leave Kathmandu valley today and start our journey to Dolakha and then towards Shigati by bus or Jeep. The narrow road with turns and twist would be fun to travel for 7 hours.

Day 4

Trek to Jagat (1,400 m):

Our trekking trial begins through normal flat land along the bank of beautiful river. We will pass Orchid forest, cross suspension bridge and mesmerizing view of Gauri Shankar Himal all the way to Jagat.

Day 5

Trek to Simigaon (2,000 m):

We can have quick tour around small village and start our trial following normal path to ascend and descend through the dense jungle. Beautiful scenery all over the way will reduce tiredness until you reach the Sherpa village of Simigaon.

Day 6

Trek to Daldung La (2,800 m):

We will start our trekking route beneath of Gauri Shankar Mountain fascinating magnificent views just above us. Our route goes through rocky steps and wooden ridge with beautiful pine forest to reach Yak Naka then Daldung La.

Day 7

Trek to Beding (3,700 m):

We will walk along the bank of Rolwaling River to reach beautiful valley covered with Rhododendron and alpine vegetation. Crossing some suspension bridges over the gorges and relaxing walk after it will take you to the Beding.

Day 8

Rest and acclimatization day at Beding:

We are in such a high altitude which can be a serious trek-killer, so we have to pause our trekking route for one day. You can visit the village on your acclimatize day.

Day 9

Trekking to Nagaoun (4,200 m):

The trail continues along the northern bank of the Rolwaling River with fresh air and charming sound of the river. Our trail will cross the Monastery and follow the valley until we arrive the summer village of Nagaon. The beautiful village is located below the Tsho Rolpa Glacier Lake.

Day 10

Trek to Tsho- Rolpa (4,500 m):

Today we will encounter the most beautiful lake Tsho Rolpa Lake situated between the Langtang and Everest region.

Day 11

Trek to Trakarding Glacier:

Our today’s hike will be comparatively challenging because we need to walk through the glaciers all the day. This experience will add extra dimension on your trekking tour of Rolwaling Valley.

Day 12

Trek to Tashi Lapcha Phedi Camp (5,755 m):

Today’s trails mostly ascend through rock and take us to the altitude of 5,755m. After climbing to the Drolambu glacier we start to descend towards Tashi Lapcha.

Day 13

Trek to Tashi Cape:

On the very next day of our trail, we will cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass, one of the attractions of our tour. We stay at camp overnight.

Day 14

Trek to Thyomgbo (4,300 m):

Our trekking trail will be comparatively easy. We will descend towards Thyomgbo walking on the glacier.

Day 15

Trek to Thame:

We will walk towards Thame village with the sightseeing of great mountains like Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kusum Kagaru and many others.

Day 16

Trek to Namche Bazar (3,600 m)

Following the Bhote Koshi River along the trial we will reach Phunki Tenga then Namche Bazar.

Day 17

Trek to Lukla (2,804 m):

Today will be the last day of our walk and obviously will be more exciting. We trek through some local villages along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Lukla.

Day 18

Fly to Kathmandu:

On the 18th day of our journey we will back to Kathmandu and relax on leisure. We can have our body massage and shopping on the valley.

Day 19

Back to Home:

We will provide you a farewell party and our representative will leave you at TIA.
