Rolwaling trek to Rolwaling Himal west of Everest and near the Tibetan edge offers enthralling experience. Rolwaling trekking is one of the most challenging treks in Nepal. The Rolwaling Valley is acknowledged as “the Grave” simply because of its location buried down between steep ice-giants. This valley lies between the Langtang range and the Everest range. The significant highlights of Rolwaling trekking are the captivating spectacles of both Mount Langtang and Mount Everest. The trekkers will be bestowed with the mystical and enchanting glimpses of majestic Mount Gauri Shankar (7134m.). The trail to the Rolwaling trek pass goes amidst huge mountains which is also a golden opportunity for trekkers who do not want to encounter a mass inrush of tourists but evenly enjoy Mother Nature with marvelous scenes of Himalayas & exploring beautiful waterfalls, Tso Rolpa Lake, monasteries, and landscapes. Rolwaling Trekking combines the mystifying majestic view of Mt. Melungtse, Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Mt. Tashi Lapcha too. You can observe inhabitants of diverse communities such as Sherpa, Tamang, and Chettri with their local lifestyle, gloomy primitive forest and over the broad bridge with astonishing views. Rolwaling trek presents you a moment to explore various vegetation, climate, topography and other many beautiful places. The region is very close to the Tibetan border as you can see people highly influenced by Tibetan culture and have adopted a unique culture and tradition. You will receive friendly and a warm welcome from people from the villages who are very warm-hearted and very kind as well.
Rolwaling trek commences from Dolakha, a small township near Charikot, an eight hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail following the course of River Tamakoshi on the way to Simigaon adds more thrills to the Rolwaling trekking. Also in this Rolwaling trek, the Glacial a Lake Tso Rolpa offers an unforgettable experience. Mountaineers can attempt to climb Parchamo (6187 m.) and Ramdung Peak (5925 m.) in this trek.
