Namche bazaar trek is the short trek in the Everest region which offers the stunning views of the mountains across the valley as well as the culture of the legendary Sherpa people. Namche Bazaar is also known as the gateway of the Everest/Khumbu region which is located in the crescent-shaped mountain slopes. Namche bazaar is the home of legendary Sherpa who is famous for mountaineering all around the world. It is a short and easy trek suitable for beginners. It is a perfect trek for those who do not have enough holiday time to trek to the Everest Base camp but want to appreciate some of the most beautiful elements of the Khumbu/ Everest region. It provides an opportunity to experience some of the unique culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people, various flora and fauna of the Everest region. In this trek, you will be rewarded with the glimpses of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world.

Namche bazaar trek commences from Lukla after the 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu. From the plane also you see the beautiful view of the long Himalayan range as well as the landscape below. From there you begin your walking and head to Namche Bazaar via Phakding. You pass through the Dudh Koshi river valley, a forest of rhododendron, Sagarmatha national park. You can explore various types of flora and fauna and wild animals and birds like Himalayan Tahr, goral, Serow, musk deer, snow leopard, etc. in the Sagarmatha national park. In Namche, you visit the village and get insight into the lifestyle and culture of the Sherpa people. You also visit the Namche Monastery, Namche library there. You can also observe their Dumje festival in May. The best time to go for Namche bazaar trek is from mid-March to May and from September to November
