Jiri to Everest Base camp Trek is the oldest trekking trail and it is very popular because it is the same route used by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hilary to conquer Mt. Everest. This Trekking trail is important because it leads to Kalapatthar and Everest region with an astonishing view of Khumbu Glacier. Trekkers can experience and explore unspoiled and ancient culture, therefore, trekking is adventurous and exciting with the front view of Mt. Everest.
Jiri to Everest Trek is exploring popular Everest region including the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and many other mountains. Jiri to Everest Trekking route passes through Solukhumbu experiencing Sherpa culture and their unique lifestyle. These High mountain settlers have something unique to offer you in every village of the region. Different monasteries and chörtens with prayer flags make you feel spiritually blessed while walking to the Base Camp area of Mt. Everest. The impressive views of forests and green hills, valleys, terraced fields, meadows, and wilderness regions, etc. are full of excitements to explore along the trek.
Jiri to Everest Trekking starts from Lukla and continues through Namche Bazaar. The trekking enters into Khumbu region which is rich in its diverse flora and fauna. The trekking trail leads to Tengboche Monastery to Lobuche via Pheriche with exciting and demanding opportunities of exploring the surrounding area in high elevation to grow spirituality and Buddhist insight. Trekking to Everest Base Camp via Jiri gives the wonderful experience of Tibetan culture in high elevation because most of the settlers in this region are Tibetan descendants who are strict in their culture and hospitable to the visitors. Trekkers are well impressed by the views of magnificent scenarios, gigantic mountains and pleasantly colorful views of rhododendron.
Trekking in the Everest region is not so challenging but high elevation may cause problems, therefore, having experience in High Mountain trekking can be very useful. It needs physical fitness and good health to trek in this region.

Booked a trek with Lakpa who was very helpful! Our guide during the trek was Lakpa, he was great to travel with, very friendly and flexible when we decided to also do EBC trek. He organized everything for us and was very knowledgeable about the mountains we were traveling through. Both treks were amazing. Would recommend! Thanks, Lakpa. 🙂
