Everest short trek is the most popular trek within the Everest region of Nepal. Everest trek can be categorized as a long trek and a short trek regarding the days required to complete the trek. Everest long trek requires strong physical fitness, long time duration, and a massive budget. In contrast to Everest’s long trek, Everest’s short trek is popular among trekkers with average physical fitness, limited time, and a small budget.

If you are short in time and cannot withstand long and dangerous trekking trails of the Everest region but still you’re eager to experience the heavenly beauty of Mount Everest then, Everest short trek can be the best choice for you. Everest’s short trek is more in demand because you can explore the Everest region and its rich nature and culture in proximity. Everest short trek is the alternative to long and tiring Everest long trek. In Everest’s short trek, you will be observing the Gurung culture and their lifestyle with a closer glimpse. What you don’t want to miss is their ethnic food and dance which are unique and amusing.  The Everest short trek is designed in such a way that you can observe the Everest region in a short duration. So, your exhilarating Everest short trek starts with a 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu airport to Lukla airport. Flying above the magnificent Lukla is amazing in itself. To fly above Lukla, the weather has to be clear. So, if the weather is not good, we have to cancel the flight. Turbulent weather is not common in the months March-May and September-November but it’s wise to learn about the weather beforehand. In the north of Lukla is located in a small village called Phakding. You will be walking along the beautiful forest, serene lakes and rivers, and Sherpa villages to reach Phakding which will take approximately 4 hours from Lukla. After 4 hours long walk, the trekkers will take rest that night.

Next day, you will walk to the Namche Bazaar, a buoyant market in the Khumbu region popular for selling Tibetan artifacts and trekking essentials. The mountainous view from Namche Bazaar is clear and amazing. You will observe the panoramic view of mountains like Thamserku, Kongde Ri, Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Taboche, etc. There are many hotels and lodges available at Namche bazaar since this place is the center stopping point for trekkers in the Everest region. If you want to explore the Sherpa culture then you can visit the fascinating Sherpa Museum which is located near Tengboche. You will spend a night at Namche Bazaar.

Waking up to a beautiful morning at Namche Bazaar is what you will never forget. The view of the mesmerizing sunrise from the peak of the mountain is something trekkers have always loved about Namche Bazaar. You can capture the moment where the sun rises from behind the panoramic mountains in the photograph too.

Everest short trek is regarded as one of the easiest treks in the Everest region of Nepal. Trekkers with average physical fitness can easily complete the trek. Altitude sickness is also less of a problem in Everest’s short trek.

I could have never asked for a wonderful trek. This was my second visit to Nepal and another great experience with Nepal Hiking. Sonam is an excellent manager who will go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed, secure and comfortable.

What I really liked is flexibility in adjusting to our tempo and our wishes. They really took care of us, especially being with my girlfriend who was the first time in Nepal and doing trekking. Great communication, honesty, and professionalism.

I will be coming back in October for another Everest trek and again will be doing it with Nepal Hiking! Great work guys.
