Poon hill trek is one of the shortest and easy trekking destinations with a panoramic view of Annapurna Himalaya and Dhaulagiri range in Nepal. This trek is an ultimate adventure for families with children, individuals, and groups who thrive to experience mountains. Poon hill trek begins from Naya Pool after an hour drive from Pokhara. Your permit and TIMS must be entered at check post when you arrive at Birethanti. You rest at Tikhedhunga on the first day of the trek where you can find many groups of communities of Magar and Chhetri.

You’ll be mesmerized by the biological diversity, forest of rhododendron and oaks, enchanting landscapes, amazing waterfalls and tantalizing rivers in this trek. You can find rhododendron forest with thirteen spices which blossoms in the spring season mixed with beautiful colors like red, white, pink and many other mixed colors.

On the third day of your trek, you are going to see a spectacular panoramic view from the Poon Hill (3210) m. such as a thrilling view of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8172m), Annapurna Range, Fishtail Gangapurna, Barha Shikhar, Dhampus peak, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri and many more peak. After reaching the highest point we step down back to Tadapani. You will also be able to observe one of the biggest Ghandruk Gurung village and Ulleri Magar Village where you can learn and enjoy the friendly and unique tradition and hospitality of Gurung and Magar communities in this trek.

Go to Pokhara by plane/tourist bus/private vehicle

Full day sightseeing in Pokhara valley

Drive to Nayapool and trek to Tikhedhunga

Trek to Ghorepani

Day 7

Get up early in the morning and hike to Poon hill (viewpoint) for sunrise and back to the hotel, after breakfast trek to Tadapani

Day 8

Trek to Ghandruk and visit Gurung Village

Day 9

Back to Pokhara

Day 10

Back to Kathmandu by bus/private vehicle/plane
