Mardi Himal Trek is a less explored trekking destination. This 5587 meters high peak lies to the southern base beneath the towering Mt. Machhapuchhre and east of Nepal. Mardi trek was officially legalized in 2012. This is the inspirational trek rather than challenging. Trek to Mardi unfolds amazing and incredible snowcapped mountains, rich rhododendron, oaks, magnolia pines, green hills, appealing landscapes, and panoramic mountain views

Every trekker can have an overwhelming and picture adventure to Mardi Himal trek. The hospitality and warmth of local people noticeable and please every traveler. Along with the natural attributes, the trekkers can observe the unique culture and traditions of inhabitant residing in this region. Magar, Gurung, and Thakali are some of the locals found in this region.

The trekking trails in Mardi assimilate sightseeing of beautiful mountains like Mt. Annapurna 8091 meters, Annapurna II 7937 meters, Annapurna III 755 meters, Annapurna IV 7525 meters, Huinchuli 6441 meters, Annapurna South 7219 meters, Machapuchhre 6993 meters, and Dhaulagiri 8167 meters. In addition, we can observer beautiful and colorful flora and fauna. Some of the attractive wildlife of this region include Himalayan Thar, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Spotted Deer, and some highly valuable and expensive herbs. As we trek through the trekking trail, we encounter several rivers and streams. The forest in this region incorporates from sub-tropical to alpine meadows.

Is any previous experience of hike or trek mandatory to do Mardi Himal Trek?

The highest height of Mardi Himal trek is 4500 meters at the Mardi Himal Base Camp. Since different people have a different capacity to adapt in the altitude, we can deny the acute mountain sickness. However, previous experience is not so compulsory. The itinerary of this trek is comprised well maintained and balanced trek with time for acclimatization. A basic and health condition is adequate to commence this trek.

Best time to trek Mardi Himal

Trek to Mardi Himal anytime throughout the year is not a big issue. But if you wish to have the best shot then autumn and spring is the best season to trek to Mardi Himal. These seasons give a clear and precise view of the high mountains and green hills. The temperature is warm and stable for a longer period. In addition, t the summer and winter, the visibility gets poor. There is frequent rainfall causing rivers and streams to rise. The trekking trails get wets and surrounded by fogs and mist.

Itinenary
Day 1

Land and Kathmandu Valley (1300 meters) via airbus

Today, you land on the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu valley via airbus. Our representatives receive you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. On the way, he/she gives a brief about the package.

Day 2

Leave Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara (800 meters)

You take an early breakfast and make your way to Pokhara via tourist bus. The drive gets romantic and scenic as we drive alongside the Trishuli River, green hills and amazing landscapes. You can as well get a panoramic view of gigantic mountains Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Ganesh Himal, and Annapurna range.

Day 3

Drive to Kande and hike to Deurali (2100 meters). Duration: 4 hours.

We make a hot breakfast in the Pokhara and make our way to Kande via ride. After reaching Kande, we hike to Deurali.

Day 4

Trek to Kokar Forest camp (2600 meters) from Deurali. Duration: 4 hours.

We walk up to Pitam Deurali and then to Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Our trek quiet becomes pleasant as we trek along the dense forest of oak, maple, rhododendron, and hemlock.

Day 5

Trek to high camp (4700 meters) from forest camp. Duration: 4 hours.

As we start our trek from forest camp to high camp, we encounter an amazing view of Annapurna South and Huinchuli. The trekking trail incorporates grass with rhododendron bushes. We might meet a colorful pheasant Lophophorus (Daphne) on our way. The high camps give access to magnificent Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli.

Day 6

Mardi Himal Base Camp excursion (4500 meters) and back to high Camp.

We wake up early in the morning for the sunrise view of the high mountains. The trail towards Mardi Himal Base Camp is well established and not much difficult. The sheep and goats are brought here for grazing. From the Base Camp, we can have an appealing view of high mountains like Huinchuli, Machahapuchhre (6993 meters), Annapurna I (8091 meters), and other exotic peaks.

Day 7

Trek to Sidhing (1750 meters). Duration: 6 hours.

We trek ascending to a viewpoint and then descend making our way Sidhing. Before reaching Sidhing, we pass via low camp. Sidhing is a less crowded village with Magar and Gurung settlements.

Day 8

Hike to Lumre and drive to Pokhara. Duration: 5 hours.

We trek via the villages like Kalimati and Ghalel and finally reach Lumre. In Kalimati and Ghalel we can find people belonging to Bhramins and Gurung community. From the Lumre, we make our way to Pokhara via ride.

Day 9

Drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

We take a morning breakfast and make our way to Kathmandu. We follow the same ride back to Kathmandu.

Day 10

Kathmandu valley sightseeing and exploration

We visit only a few places in Kathmandu, as it is almost impossible to explore the whole Kathmandu within a day. We observe a few heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Sawyambhunath, Bouddhanath Stupa.
In the evening, we walk in the Thamel streets and rejoice the succession of the great trek to Mardi Himal.

Day 11

Departure time.

After an early breakfast, we make a short farewell and then take back you to the airport for a flight.
