Temple Tree comprises two-storey individual cottages, finished in hand-cut stone and featuring beautifully-decorated timber struts and pillars. Each room has a private balcony with pergola looking on to a lush garden centered on an ancient tree formed from three interlocking trunks. This tree is believed to be inhabited by local deities and continues to be ritually offered flowers and perfumes to this day.

The resort is ideally located right at the center of the Lakeside in an area called Gaurighat, the only stretch of the Lakeside enjoying a full view of the lake as well as the Himalayas. The hotel is situated 2 minutes’ walking distance from the tourist market, seven minutes drive from the airport and tourist bus-park.
