About 155 km southwest from Kathmandu valley, Chitwan is plain and luxuriant place of center Terai, is also well-known of Chitwan National park which offers a chance for jungle safari, boating on Narayani and Rapti River, elephant riding, and animal watching. It takes about 4 hours by bus and 30 minutes by flight to reach there. There are abundances of hotels within the park and outsides the park where the visitor can get the pleasure of homemade dishes as well as continental in a typical setting. Hotel is found to be situated in Sauraha(about 15 km southeast to Bharatpur Airport) and in Meghauli(about 25km west to Bharatpur Airport and nearby Meghauli Airport). It is located at the western end of the park on a large island in the middle of Narayani River, which is about 4km North West to Meghauli Airport. This is a simple fashioned resort in a pastoral setting that offers a view of crocodile slights and running shores of Narayani River.

Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge

The Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge is located in Saurha, about 1 km away from other lodges of Saurha in a peaceful environment. It offers amenities including restaurant dishing up Nepalese, Chinese, Indian and continental food, bars, indoor shops, private well-furnished cottage with view terrace and beautiful garden. Here one can enjoy the slights of rhinos and other animals and a glimpse of ostrich.
